On December 2, 2015, the European Commission adopted a package of new measures on Circular Economy to help European businesses and consumers in the transition to a stronger economy, where resources are used in a more sustainable way.
A package of measures related particularly to eco-design, plastics strategy, reducing agricultural and food waste, secondary raw materials, reducing marine debris, treatment and reuse of water. It also highlights the crucial role of innovation as a facilitator of this change in the production model.
